Let me start off by saying that I have no vested interest in writing this review. I typically do not write reviews, as I don’t often find any business “Remarkable .” After interviewing 6 different painters, I went with Precision. I asked Bill about the poor review he received, on Google, as I was a little hesitant. He stated that being in business for 17 years, you are going to find people that cannot be completely satisfied. His detailed explanation. which I wont bother to detail here, was acceptable. The last thing I wanted to to be a victim of a bad paint job…..Before he started the job, Bill offered his free Color consultation. We thought we knew what we wanted, but he cautioned us on the colors we chose. He put samples on the wall, and he correctly steered us away from our original colors ,and recommended similar tones that would better work with the lighting of the house. He came out on 4 different occasions with different paint samples before we chose the recommended colors. No regrets, the colors he recommended worked very well. His price was reasonable ( within the pack of quotes I received) but he used a much higher quality paint, Benjamin Moore. The crew showed up early, and worked with precision, taping and masking EVERYTHING throughout the house. They moved everything around. They carefully moved heirloom pieces and pictures. They were able to work around the dog sauntering throughout the house. I even left some small dollar bills laying around the house, to check on their honesty. ( They were left alone in the house while I was at work during the days ) The money is still sitting on the tables. The quality of the job is super, They managed to get laser straight lines on less than straight ceiling/wall joints. Impressive quality, Impressive work ethic ( how many painters show up at 8 AM work until 8:30 pm on a Friday and Saturday Night? Upon cleanup, I even heard bill vacuuming the entire house, to ensure the dust and dirt from spray powder was properly cleaned. All the granite counter tops in the kitchen were thoroughly wiped down, and the antique furniture was wiped off. I used to work for a paint company in college, and we never did any of this. He was able to fill and sand all the dings in the door jambs and baseboards, so they look new. He used automotive bondo, not calking or spackle. I asked why and he stated that bondo dries much harder and lasts much longer. I have personally recommended him to 4 of my patients. I recommend that you do your homework before choosing a painter, be diligent on the offering, the sales pitch, the paint they recommend, and the organization of the company. Is the guy who does the quote, actually apply the paint? In my humble opinion, I would choose Bill at Precision Painting and Finish again, without hesitation. He will be painting our rental house, next time around. 10/14/14 – We needed some additional painting done, for some up upgrades we did. The price was fair and service was prompt and quality was excellent. He even touched up some marks on the walls is a couple of locations for free.
